After receiving a BFA in Graphic Communications from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, Elizabeth worked for a decade as an art director in Detroit, Denver and Grand Rapids, MI. In 1996, as a freelance illustrator, she worked for clients such as the Wall Street Journal, Children's Television Workshop and NPR. A decade later, she was given a book of Nancy Crow's artwork and has never looked back. Elizabeth now works work full time as a studio artist..
She lives on the shores of Lake Macatawa in Michigan with her husband Blair Rieckmann, a sculptor/coffee roaster/boat builder.
